Spice up your weeknight routine with Sweet Sriracha Chicken. This easy chicken dish is sweet and spicy and will leave you wanting more. Don’t like spice? Don’t worry! Cut the suggested amount in half to reduce the kick!
What You Need:
For the Glaze
1 cup of water
3 tbsp sriracha (Reduce for a less spicy dish)
1/3 cup soy sauce
4 tbsp honey
1/4 cup sugar
5 cloves of garlic, minced
2 tbsp cornstarch+ 2 tbsp water slurry
For the Chicken
2 chicken breasts, diced
1/4 cup cornstarch
2 tbsp olive oil
Have everything, but cornstarch? Substitute with flour!
What To Do:
Add the water, sriracha, soy sauce, honey, sugar, and garlic to a medium sized sauce pan. Stir until the sugar is dissolved. Bring the mixture to a boil over a medium/ medium-high heat. Reduce the heat and add the cornstarch and water slurry to the boiling mixture. Stir until the mixture thickens. Remove from heat.
Mix the raw, diced chicken with the flour. Saute in olive oil. Add the sriracha glaze and let it simmer for just a few minutes.
Serving Idea: Serve over a bed of white rice and a side of broccoli.
